Cat Boarding

RSPCA WA Cat Boarding logoAs leaders in animal welfare, RSPCA WA provides the best care and enrichment for your cat. We offer cat boarding care packages in Perth, with various optional extras to ensure your cat is safe, secure and happy during their stay with us.

Your cat will be cared for in our cat hotel condos by our trained staff and experienced volunteers who can provide extensive human interaction throughout their stay.

Each cat condo consists of a living space, a cosy separate sleeping area, and a separate cat litter space. They are professionally designed to give your cat just the right amount of space to make them feel safe and comfortable, with plenty of room to play and stretch.

The Cat Boarding facility, located inside the RSPCA Cattery, is fully airconditioned in summer and heated in winter to keep your cat comfortable. Each cat condo has it's own independent ventilation system which prevents the spread of airborne bacteria and disease.

Best of all, when your cat stays with RSPCA Cat Boarding in Perth, they're helping to fight animal cruelty and care for animals in need!

Your cat's health, safety and wellbeing is our primary concern. Please read the information below carefully to learn more about the policies for boarding your cat with RSPCA WA.

This important information covers;

You can also download a copy of our terms and conditions, arrivals and departures policy, and special requirements and medication policy here.

It is important that you read and fully understand these prior to making a cat boarding reservation.

RSPCA Cat Boarding has a strict vaccination policy. Unvaccinated cats will not be permitted to board with us in order to ensure the health and safety of all cats within our care.

All cats MUST have a current F3 vaccination within the last 12 months. You will be required to upload your cat's vaccination certificate at the time of booking.

If your cat  has never been vaccinated, or if your cat has not been vaccinated in the last 12 months, they will not be permitted to board for at least 4 weeks from the date of their first vaccination. Once they receive their first annual vaccination, they will require a booster two weeks later, and then a two-week rest period before the cat is allowed to board.

Flea and worm treatments

All cats must be up to date with flea and worming treatments which will cover them for the full period of their stay. Any cats suspected to have fleas will have a treatment administered by our team at an additional cost of $20, which will be required to be paid at the time of checkout.

If your cat requires a treatment while boarding you can bring you own treatment with you and our team can administer this on the given date at no charge.

Under Western Australian law (the Cat Act 2011), all cats over six (6) months of age must be sterilised. Entire, or un-sterilised, cats will not be able to board with us.

Your cat's general health

Your cat will be given a general health check on arrival to assess for any health concerns. RSPCA WA reserves the right to refuse entry at any time for any reason. On assessment, if the cat looks unwell, you will be referred to your vet clinic and asked to provide a written confirmation of your cat's medical state before entry will be permitted.

Medication can be administered at an additional cost of $3 a day (which can be added as an option when making your booking).

Ample medication for the duration of your cat's stay must be supplied, along with clear written instructions. Unfortunately, we are unable to cater to diabetic cats due to the strict timing requirements of their daily medication.

Please refer to our Special Requirements and Medication Policy for details.

All cats must be transported to and from RSPCA Cat Boarding in a secure pet carrier. No cardboard boxes are permitted.

Please refer to our Arrivals and Departures Policy for details.
