Have you got professional skills in content creation? Photography, videography and/or editing skills? Are you a social media native? Why don’t you join our content creation volunteer group!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of RSPCA WA. Without the incredible commitment, dedication and passion of people like you, we simply could not help abandoned, neglected, sick and surrendered animals in Western Australia each year.

About you

You are an animal lover who has more pictures and videos of your pets on your phone than people. You currently work in, have studied or are currently studying a field related to media, photography, videography and/or editing. You have your own equipment, and you are willing to spend some quality time with the shelter animals!

What the role involves

We are looking for creative people who can dedicate a couple of hours each month to visit the Shelter to create content for our social media, media and broader organisational communications needs.

You will be required to:

  • Travelling to our Malaga Animal Care Centre to get content
  • Film or photograph dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, rats and many other animals
  • Edit footage/photos if necessary
  • Follow the guidance of animal attendants and/or animal volunteers
  • Join monthly/bi-monthly meetings with RSPCA’s Media, Marketing and PR team to brainstorm content ideas
