RSPCA WA is affected by the current Perth-Peel lockdown and we have adjusted our operations to ensure we follow WA Government advice.

The RSPCA Animal Care Centre in Malaga will remain closed to the public during the lockdown. During this time, you will not be able to adopt an animal from us.

Essential staff will remain on site to look after the animals we have in our care.

Animal Welfare Inspectors will remain on duty responding to cruelty reports. Calls will be prioritised - Inspectors will respond to critical and major calls in the first instance (those where an animal's life is in imminent danger).

If you were planning to come to the Animal Care Centre to drop off donations, please wait until the lockdown period is over.

RSPCA Op Shops and Reloved stores will remain closed during the lockdown.

If you have a dog-training class scheduled this week, your instructor will be in touch with you regarding the status of your next class.

Caring for your pets during this time is essential. You can walk your dogs within the restrictions set out by the WA Government. That means you can exercise within 5km of your residence for up to an hour, with one other adult from your household. Children are not part of this two person restriction. People over 12 years must wear a mask when not at home.

If your pet needs medical attention during the lockdown period, please contact your local vet prior to leaving home to ensure they are open and that they will be able to treat your pet.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Regular updates will be made available via our Facebook and Instagram pages and our website.

The RSPCA relies on the community to report incidents of suspected cruelty and neglect. Report cruelty 24/7 on 1300 CRUELTY (1300 278 358) or online here.
