An experienced Director with a proven track record at Board level, Lynne is a strong advocate to Government and industry for improvements to live export, intensive farming and irresponsible dog breeding.

Lynne’s career in life sciences spans 30 years, having held senior leadership positions in public and private entities as well as consulting on business growth strategies and medical device commercialisation. Lynne has owned and operated her own businesses, developing these from start-up, or through acquisition and merger to eventual sale or public listing. Lynne is currently the proprietor of a medical technology consultancy.

Lynne is passionate about engaging the community in consumer led demand for humane food products thereby providing producers the opportunity to adapt to changing requirements.

Ian is the Chief Executive Officer of the City of Gosnells, a position he has held since 2009.

Previously, he was the Director of Governance and Strategy at the City of Joondalup for three years and a Director at the Department of Local Government for over 10 years, where he represented Western Australia on the Commonwealth Government’s National Consultative Committee on Animal Welfare and participated in the development of Australia’s first National Animal Welfare Strategy. Ian was also responsible for the development and implementation of Western Australia’s current Animal Welfare Act 2002.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with first class honours from the University of Western Australia and a Masters Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.

In June 2014, Ian received the Public Service Medal in the Queen’s Birthday Honours, for his outstanding public service, particularly to the City of Gosnells.

Michelle has over 20 years’ executive leadership experience in the health, aged care and training sectors. She is currently the CEO of Oryx Communities, a West Australian owned aged care provider. A committed advocate for issues around ageing positively and planning for an ageing population, Michelle served as a Federal Board Director of the national peak body Leading Age Services Australia (LASA) and a Committee Member of the LASA Admissions and Governance Committee, Human Resources Working Group and Finance, Audit and Risk Committee for several years.

As an avid animal lover, Michelle shares her home with two dogs, three cats and her partner. She believes in the ‘adopt, don’t shop’ motto and that community engagement and education are key to effecting positive change in animal welfare, as well as tougher penalties for animal cruelty.

Jamie is currently Lead Partner of Deloitte’s Strategy and Operations Practice in Perth. Jamie has over 25 years of professional experience covering management consulting, corporate finance and audit disciplines, including five years in industry.

During his time in professional services, Jamie has managed large scale, complex projects, and managed teams on consulting and corporate finance engagements in Australia, Japan, South East Asia, Zambia and Mongolia, with significant experience in the Western Australian energy, utilities and resources (mining and oil and gas) sectors.

Jamie is experienced at dealing with boards and executives, and has served as a listed public company Director. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (UWA), a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (FINSIA), and is a Chartered Accountant—Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and is also a current member of the RSPCA WA Audit & Risk Committee.

Alice is a senior executive with 25 years’ experience working across Asia Pacific in a range of C-suite leadership roles. She has experience in business innovation and transformation in the fields of digital, marketing and customer experience.

From 1998 to 2013, Alice was based in Singapore where she held several Asia Pacific roles with WPP, a global leader in marketing services.

From 2013-2016 she was the CEO of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia. The IAB is the peak trade association for the digital economy with over 45 IABs across the globe.

In February 2017 she was a selected participant in the Australian Institute of Company Directors pipeline programme for executive women. Alice is currently General Manager, Customer at Brightwater Care Group.

In 2014 and 2015 Alice was voted one of Australia’s Top 30 Women in Media in B&T’s Awards. She has a Masters of Psychology from the University of Sydney and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Since 2018, Greg has been the Managing Partner of Miniritchie Farm, a small farming business that produces wool and meat.

Greg has extensive experience at a senior level in government. Previous roles include Director of Business and Corporate Services at ChemCentre for more than 2 years; Deputy Director General at the Department of Agriculture and Food for 5 years and senior positions in the Department of Fisheries for more than 5 years.

Greg has a strong interest in sustainable primary industry development and government policy as it affects the sector.

Greg holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Degree and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia. He also has completed the AICD Directors program.

Greg has a Kelpie called Meg who assists him with sheep operations on the farm.

Joy is a hands-on senior leader with over 25 years’ experience in the Mining Services sector. Joy has broad experience in managing teams and stakeholders through challenging periods. A hands-on senior leader with over 25 years’ experience in the Mining Services sector.

Joy is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne. She is a graduate of the AICD directors’ program. Joy’s furry children are Lucy a Border Collie/Kelpie and Nellie a Bengal cat.

Wanjie is a practising lawyer currently employed at the State Solicitor’s Office of Western Australia. Wanjie has experience working in areas of government law, including providing advice to local governments, state agencies, ministers, and assisting with legislative reform.

Wanjie has served on Boards of several not-for-profit organisations and advisory boards. In those roles, she has demonstrated results in modernising organisational governance, improving strategic outcomes and operational performance.

Wanjie is especially passionate about companion animal welfare issues, including encouraging responsible pet ownership. She lives with four rescue cats and hopes to make a positive impact on the lives of animals through her position as a director.

Jonathan is an accomplished executive with a 30 years’ experience in CEO, senior leadership and director roles. He recently stepped down from his position as CEO of LGIS (local government discretionary mutual) after a successful nine 9-year tenure. His executive career included senior leadership roles with leading risk management, consulting and financial services organisations, including Marsh/JLT (18 years) AIG and Aon (20 years).

Throughout his professional journey, Jonathan has focused on risk management, strategy and governance in the not for profit and for purpose sector. He has worked with organisations including St Vincent’s, Activ Foundation, Amana Living; bringing his expertise to enhance their operations.

Jonathan holds a number of non-executive positions including director roles at Dale Cottages, Scouts WA, LMDRF and SCHCS. He also serves as an independent member for Finance and Audit committees including Local Government’s and the RSPCA.

A graduate of the AICD Program (GAICD) he holds Fellowship and Life Membership with ANZIIF, and an MBA from Deakin University.

Jo brings two decades of international and Australian experience in corporate strategy, brand communications, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. Jo is currently a Director at communications consultancy, Purple, and provides strategic corporate and communications advice to not-for-profit organisations and corporate clients across sectors including mining, education, health, technology, and property.

Jo has a proven track record in developing customer-centric communications and marketing strategies that enhance brands, protect reputations, drive fundraising, and engage diverse stakeholders.

Previously, Jo served as a board member at one of London’s leading communications consultancies, responsible for governance, strategy and team leadership. She has a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Public Relations) from Curtin University.

Jo grew up on a farm in the Southwest, and is passionate about animal welfare issues. She has been a cat mum most of her life, most recently fostering kittens.
