How to include a gift in your Will

Every year, one third of the animals in our care are helped by animal lovers like you who thoughtfully included a gift when they wrote their Will.

Leaving a gift is a powerful way to ensure your love for animals continues into the future. It can be done simply by naming RSPCA WA as a beneficiary in your Will.

To do so, you’ll need to include two things:

  1. Our legal details:
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Western Australia (RSPCA WA)
    ABN: 48 626 609 587
108 Malaga Drive, MALAGA WA 6090
  2. Your decision about the type of gift you wish to leave, whether that be a percentage of your estate, a specific sum of money, or an asset such as property or shares.

For more information on how your legacy can help animals well into the future, keep scrolling or download the printable RSPCA WA Gift in Wills Guide.

If you are considering an ongoing legacy through a trust or fund, we recommend seeking advice from a qualified financial adviser.

How to write or update your Will

Making a Will is an important step in supporting the people and causes you care about, and today, it’s simpler and more accessible than ever before. There are several ways to write a legally valid Will in Australia, depending on your needs.

Ways to write your Will

  • Consult a legal professional
You can have your Will prepared or updated by a solicitor or trustee company, ensuring personalised legal advice and peace of mind.
  • Use an Australian online Will-writing platform
If your circumstances are straightforward, you may choose an online Will‑writing service such as Safewill, Willed or Everywill. These platforms allow you to create a Will quickly, cost effectively and conveniently from home.
