About you

Foster carers must be at least 18 years old.

About Your Pets

In order to be a Foster Carer for RSPCA WA, all pets are required to have and maintain up-to-date vaccinations. This protects your animals at home, and any animals placed on foster with you.

In the event your animal is exposed to or contracts an infectious disease, any treatment your animal requires will not be covered by RSPCA WA.

PROPERTY PHOTOS

If you intend to foster a dog, please include photos of your outdoor area that show:

  • the type of fencing you have, and that there aren’t any gaps in or under fencing or gates where an animal could potentially squeeze through
  • any water features or pools, and that council-approved fencing is in place to prevent an animal from falling in (or that temporary fencing can be installed)
  • an overall idea of the condition of the back yard and the absence of hazardous objects.

I confirm that I have provided RSPCA WA with true and accurate information in my application.
I understand that the RSPCA WA Foster Care Coordinator will review and approve my application at his/her discretion.
I understand that foster animal/s in my care will remain the property of RSPCA WA for the duration of my commitment, but that ultimately I am responsible for their care, safety and well-being.
I hold a current form of photo identification and can present it for inspection if required.
I agree to RSPCA WA conducting a property check at my home if required.
RSPCA WA will only euthanise an animal if an animal’s welfare is compromised
