A 24-year-old Yangebup man has been fined $5,000 and prohibited from owning an animal for three years for maliciously beating his partner’s 5-month-old puppy. He was also ordered to pay a total of $2,477.77 in costs and reimbursements.

Joondanna woman facing 18 animal cruelty charges

A 45-year-old Joondanna woman has been charged with 18 counts of animal cruelty after RSPCA WA inspectors removed three adult Staffy crossbreed dogs and seven puppies from a Gingin house the accused was living in.

Charges laid over alleged Pinjarra horse neglect

A 71-year-old man and 65-year-old woman have appeared in Mandurah Magistrates Court on a combined 19 charges under the Animal Welfare Act 2002. The charges are in relation to four horses seized from the pair’s West Pinjarra property by RSPCA WA inspectors.

SW couple fined for engaging in prohibited hunting practice

A 26-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, both from the South West, have been fined a total of $52,300 for a combined 13 convictions of animal cruelty and four of promoting a prohibited activity (17 convictions in total).
