Our Level 1 Dog Training course will equip you to confidently guide your dog through real-life situations at home, on walks and out in the world using positive, reward-based training methods that are proven, practical and kind.
Whether your dog is young, newly adopted, or just never mastered the basics – this course sets the foundation for a lifetime of good behaviour.
We focus on practical skills you’ll use every day, including:
Everyday Manners
✔ Name recognition
✔ ‘Sit’, ‘drop’ and ‘stand’ on command
✔ Understand commands like ‘watch me’, ‘leave it’, ‘wait’ and ‘let’s go’
Calm Behaviour
✔ Settling on their mat
✔ Polite greetings
✔ Managing jumping and over-excitement
Walking Skills
✔ Loose lead walking
✔ Emergency turns and curving
✔ Handling distractions
Safety Skills
✔ Reliable recall
✔ Collar grab
✔ Health inspections
By the end of the course, you’ll have:
Course length: Six weeks
Classes: One 50-minute class per week. Starts with one dog-free session, followed by five practical classes
Cost: $240
Class Size: 4 – 8 dogs*
Recognition: Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion
Who it’s for: Fully vaccinated dogs over 13 weeks old
This course is perfect if your dog gets over-excited, has challenges with jumping, barking or walking, or if you just want to set a solid foundation for good behaviour.
*Courses with <4 dogs may be postponed by a week or two to meet minimum class numbers. This is for socialisation purposes.
