What to do if you find an animal

RSPCA WA does not have the resources to accept uninjured stray animals. Stray animals are the responsibility of local councils.

Stray animals include cats, kittens, dogs and puppies.

If you find a healthy stray, contact your local council
If you find an injured or very sick animal, contact the RSPCA: 1300 CRUELTY (1300 278 3589).
If an animal is in immediate danger, contact the RSPCA: 1300 CRUELTY (1300 278 3589).
If you find a sick or injured native animal, call WILDCARE (08) 9474 9055 (24 hour service).
