Netball star joins animal welfare fight

New West Coast Fever recruit, Rudi Ellis, is RSPCA WA’s newest ambassador helping to end animal cruelty in WA.

The premiership player and talented defender reached out to the RSPCA soon after moving the WA earlier this year.

‘I’ve always been passionate about animals and am keen to do what I can to help them,’ Rudi said.

‘I have a gorgeous cat named Milo, adopted from the RSPCA in Queensland, who has just come to live with me in Perth.

‘It’s the best Christmas present I could have asked for to be re-united with him and I want to help as many other rescue animals as I can.’
RSPCA WA CEO, Ben Cave, said he was thrilled to have Rudi on board.

‘Rudi’s passion for all animals and desire to make a real difference in their lives is great to see,’ Ben said.

‘She approached us looking for this opportunity, wanting to help abandoned, abused and neglected animals, just like Milo once was, and I think that speaks volumes about Rudi’s character.

‘We’re really grateful Rudi can help us share the ‘adopt don’t shop’ and other important messages.’
