Strays and pound animals

Stray Animals - What to do

Stray animals are the responsibility of the local government. If you find a healthy and uninjured stray please contact your local government.

If you find an injured or very sick animal, or if an animal is in immediate danger, please contact our Inspectors on 1300 CRUELTY (1300 278 358).

Pound Lost & Found

If you have lost your pet please contact your local government to see if your pet has been collected by a ranger. We also recommend you contact your local vets and animal rescue organisations.

To help spread the word you can also post about your lost pet on Pets of Perth Facebook page.

RSPCA WA provides pound services for the City of Joondalup only. If you have lost your dog or cat in the City of Joondalup, you can contact us during business hours on (08) 9209 9323. We only take in stray animals from those areas.
