Community Fundraising and Events Officer About the Role We are seeking a Community Fundraising & Events professional who also has a passion for animal welfare. The ideal applicant will have expertise in the development and delivery of community events or campaigns within budget, including logistical planning, event execution and post-event evaluation. This role is a part-time position of 22.8 hours per week, reporting to the Engagement Manager you will be a key member of RSPCA WA’s Community Engagement team. Key Focus Areas Developing and executing plans and strategies to meet the organisation’s annual targets for sustained year-on-year income growth. Planning, developing and monitoring an income (cash, in-kind and grants) pipeline. Building existing corporate relationships and stewarding donors. Providing regular reporting with particular emphasis on relationships and opportunities to the leadership team. Manage national corporate partnerships to ensure growth and compliance with all requirements. Skills & Qualifications To succeed in this job, you will need: Experience in event management and fundraising Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure and control/maintain processes, people and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated experience in developing new initiatives and activations for event participation and fundraising outcomes. Public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills. Proven experience in detailed evaluation of event results and ability to find creative solutions to enable continual improvement in financial performance and participant satisfaction. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, website content management systems, database and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms, as well as the ability to quickly learn and utilise new software applications.
