About us Current vacancies Contract Dog Trainer RSPCA WA is seeking contract dog trainers to deliver dog training services in accordance with the RSPCA WA curriculum and guidelines. Responsibilities: Consult with clients to understand and address canine behavioural issues and training requirements in one-on-one training sessions. During group training classes, follow a provided training curriculum broken down into weekly milestones. Instruct dogs in fundamental commands using effective, positive-reinforcement training methods. Educate clients on proper training techniques to reinforce and sustain their dogs’ acquired behaviours and skills. Requirements: A dog training qualification that promotes ethical, positive practices (e.g., Certificate IV in Animal Training and Behaviour or similar). Proven ability to provide high-quality, ethically minded dog training. Dog handling experience using ethical, positive techniques. A commitment to high-quality customer service. A good understanding of dog behaviour, including breed-specific traits.
