RSPCA WA Dog Trainers are engaged on a CONTRACT basis to deliver dog training services in accordance with the RSPCA WA curriculum and guidelines. They are required to adopt and promote methods used and approved by the RSPCA during the classes, adhere to the training guidelines and abide by the policies and procedures of the RSPCA.

The customer service and quality of service provided by our Dog Trainers is vital to ensuring the ongoing success of our welfare focused dog training services.

Contract Dog Trainers will need:

  • A dog training qualification that promotes ethical, positive practices only (e.g., Certificate IV in Animal Training and Behaviour, or similar).
  • A proven ability to provide high quality, ethically minded dog training.
  • Dog handling experience using ethical, positive techniques.
  • A commitment to always providing high quality customer service.

Contract Dog Trainers will be required to have, or be willing to obtain (at their own cost), the following:

  • A current WA police clearance.
  • A Working with Children check.
  • A registered ABN.
  • Current first aid certification which covers Providing First Aid and CPR.
