This role forms a key part of the Finance and Shared Services department, ensuring efficient financial management and performance and development of the organisations financial position.

About the Role

We are seeking a Finance Manager who will be able to support the organisation by becoming the central point for delivering financial services and advice. 

You will enable business operations through your support to each of the departments, to help facilitate outcomes to the organisations strategic objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need

• Membership of either the Institute of Chartered Accountants or a Certified Practicing Accountant (ICAA or CPA).
• Highly developed knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Highly developed and demonstrable management skills with experience in leading diverse teams.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve problems, maintain objectivity and manage confidentiality; being proactive to minimise issues and initiate action to deal with potential issues when or before they arise.
• Extensive experience in financial and management accounting including budgets and reforecasts.
• High level understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated experience in the development of procedures and systems.
• Previous experience with MYOB accounting software and experience in this type of role in a not-for-profit organisation would be beneficial.
