RSPCA Dog Training will teach your dog off-leash control, recall, toilet training, and basic dog obedience commands using positive techniques.

In small-group classes catering for puppies (from 8 weeks old) to adults (and their humans, of course!), you’ll walk away understanding exactly how to best communicate with your dog.

Dog Training - Level 1

Dog training course information

Who: Fully vaccinated dogs over 13 weeks old.
Where: At RSPCA Malaga, various locations or online
Duration: 50 minute session per week, for 6 weeks.

Certificate of achievement upon successful completion of the course
Maximum 8 dogs per class, and each dog must have at least one adult with them during the class*

*Classes with less than 4 bookings may be postponed by a week or rescheduled to allow for further bookings.

Find or Book a Level 1 class

If your dog is too old for Puppy Kindy, our Level One class can help them master basic doggy manners, and turn them into the well-mannered pet you’d like them to be.

Using only reward-based dog training methods, they’ll learn lots of new skills and commands; such as

recall (coming when called)
walking on a loose lead
heel, stay, sit, down, stand, and even some tricks!

You’ll also learn a lot, including how to solve common doggy behaviour problems (like jumping up and barking) as well as what you can do to train your dog to fit in with your individual lifestyle.

This all takes place in a relaxed and fun setting, strengthening the bond between you and your dog and setting you both up for a happy and stress-free future together.

Plus, by choosing RSPCA dog training, you’re also helping to protect animals in WA from cruelty and neglect - with course fees contributing to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals in need.
