Thank you for applying to become a Foster Carer.

To complete your application, please provide the following:

Property images

Please provide several (usually 4-7) photographs of the property to demonstrate that it is suitable, safe and secure. Foster dogs are required to have access to both outside and inside the house, and foster cats are required to be kept strictly indoors.

  • Backyard: we need to clearly see:
    • the type of fencing you have, and that is has no gaps in or under fencing where an animal could potentially squeeze through
    • the gates, which must be lockable
    • any water features or pools, must have council approved fencing or are able to be cordoned off to prevent an animal from falling in
    • pictures to give an overall idea of the condition of the back yard that shows there are no hazardous objects.

  • Inside the home: we need to see:
    • the room/s in which the foster animal would be housed
    • windows and doors, which must be secure and lockable
    • pictures to give an idea of the overall condition of the room/s that show there are no hazardous objects.

Once we have received these photographs, you will be entered into our foster care database. When an animal who requires a foster home matches your preferences, you will be contacted.
