RSPCA WA became a public company limited by guarantee under The Corporations Act (2001) following a resolution of members at the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) on 1 March 2018.

Subsequently, the new entity was registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) on 24 July 2018 with the new Constitution taking effect that day.

RSPCA WA continues to uphold the original objectives since it was first established in 1892, including to:

• Promote animal welfare and kindness to animals
• Prevent or suppress cruelty to animals
